It's a Busy Life Being a Student

Of course everyone has their own opinions about students, many might perceive us as being rioters, lazy, alcoholics, government money spongers etc, etc.
HOWEVER, we obviously know different because we're awesome!

Six weeks of being back to the daily grind of alarms, lectures and deadlines and I'm already starting to feel burnt out, had some interesting moments along the way already though :D

Planning a trip to New Zealand:

The 24th of March is getting closer and closer and so we're getting closer to knowing what we're actually going to be up to and where we're actually going.
We're leaving the UK for Auckland on the 24th and stopping off in Dubai and Melbourne on the way and then getting another flight and finally getting to Queenstown on the 27th, I say bring it on after my journey from Fiji to the UK, it's only an extra 1000 miles...

For the first 12 days we will be undertaking fieldwork on glaciers and braided rivers in a few different locations, some of the places we're visiting/working in look amazing! We even get a guided glacier tour of Fox Glacier at the end :D

We are also planning a bungee jump in Queenstown, the 2nd highest in the world they say! Not sure whether i'm scared or not after doing my skydive in Byron Bay :)
We're also heading over to White Island in the Bay of Plenty to see some volcanoes and i'll be going for a SCUBA dive hopefully, should be a nice refresher after the summer!
And no trip to NZ would be complete without visits to Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Hobbiton, with many a hike on the way, bring it on!

Our travel map as it stands so far, we have 22 days to see all of these places and many places in between, it's going to be an exhausting but amazing trip! And it's going to be a shock to the system when we're back in Aber facing exams, fieldwork reports and dissertation titles/equipment/supervisors, but it will definitely be worth it.
