Featherdale Wildlife Park - Just outside Sydney

Featherdale wildlife park is located about a 45 minute drive from Sydney, it has most of the Australian animals you can think of, most of which are marsupials and so keep their young in a pouch. The park also had some of the more dangerous Australian animals such as the salt water crocodile and the inland Taipan snake (most poisonous in the world).
We got given a wildlife passport when we got there, we had to get stamps for all the sections including Wombat World, and like big kids we went mad for it! :)

A lovely common wombat.

The wombat has a fantastic bum that it sometimes uses to attack with!

A cassowary bird, they liked to follow us around as we moved.

Wallaby :)

He was looking at my food.

Wallaby with a joey, aww :)

A pelican.

So many wallabies.

Little owls.

It was a bit too early for the koalas.

Sleepy koala.

Hello there koala :D

At least one koala was awake!

Penguin.

Chilling in the trees.

An Australian stork.

White peacock.

Saltwater crocodile safely behind bars!

Snoozing dingos.

Inland Taipan, as poisonous as snakes get!

A pair of goannas.

Peacocks.

A wallaroo, cross breed wallaby and kangaroo.

A less scary emu than the one at Blackbutt nature reserve.

A big desert kangaroo.

Furry chickens :S

Sun bathing Tasmanian devil.

Featherdale was a brilliant wildlife park as it allowed you to interact with the animals and many of them were allowed to roam a large area freely rather than being locked up in a cage all day which was excellent. Well worth a visit if you're interested in wildlife!
