Sydney Aquarium

The day we arrived in Sydney we went to the aquarium, absolutely amazing aquarium, so much to see! It also had two tunnels similar to the ones on Birmingham sea life centre but better, it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Australia and well deserved!

Lego Posidon with me for scale!

Spot the platypus.

Chilled out lizard in an aquarium.

Certainly do not wish to meet one of these on my SCUBA adventures.

Chilled out lizard's friend chilled out toad.

UV coral.

Strangest sea horse ever (for now).

A much more impressive octopus that the one in Newcastle.

Various poisonous jellyfish.

Awesome penguins.

Officially the strangest sea horse ever!

An impressive hermit crab, plenty can be found roaming the islands of Fiji!

Great Barrier Reef exhibit at the beginning, brilliant exhibit!

Shark tunnel, huge shark! There were various species.

Manta Ray, at least as wide as i am long.

Well hello there human.

Very big turtle!

Fish in the manatee tunnel.

Manatee! In the U.S they call them sea cows, they are literally just like cows that can swim.

Munch munch.

Another spectacular ray.

A surgeonfish very similar to Dory from finding Nemo.

More of the GBR exhibit.

Breathtaking! Though not as good as the real thing.

More surgeonfish and damselfish.

The display tank at the end of the exhibit, very impressive!

An impressive spotted ray.

Group photo :)

Seeing all these sea animals and corals is the next best thing to actually diving the Great Barrier Reef and a lot of facts and information can be learnt about them, particularly sharks at the shark exhibit which explains how they are being hunted and pushed to extinction for shark fin soup. There was also an interesting exhibit about the life of a plastic bag and how it affects sea animals, well worth checking out!
Sydney aquarium = Excellent.
